KT Pinto has bunches of novels and short stories published. You like vampires and mutants? Sure you do. We talk about them and about how authors can behave poorly at conventions.
Check out her website, blog, and convention schedule.

Mikey and Jonah break out some rare (i.e. not great) songs. And then they have a knock down drag out fight over theatre, KISS, getting a record deal, and Jonathan Coulton.

If you are a table-top gamer, you must listen to Fear The Boot.
If you are a gaming convention goer, you must check out Fear The Con.
Dan is a great interview. In fact, we chatted for so long that we were unable to include music in this episode. Another first.

How great is The Great One? Pretty great.
Luke Ski talks about how his musical direction was influenced by Dr. Demento, how his crazy live show developed over his years at conventions, and he drops some science about how to craft a quality parody. Plus, hey, he's Luke. He's got stories.
For the first time we play three songs, all The Great Luke Ski!

Why not just give it away? Your time. Your music. Your passion. You might just be surprised.
And music by Partners In K'RHyme. Remember the filk episode when we didn't play any filk music but we talked about filkers? Well, here is some actual filk.

I thought that interviewing Colette Fozard about her work on the Worldcon 2015 bid for Orlando would be pretty cool. Man, did she school me. Colette's history of working with conventions was eye opening. She's a powerhouse, not only a huge wealth of knowledge about putting on a con but, she was able to take her volunteer work and build it into an actual career!
Plus she recomended DJ Cutman. His two songs are:
Something About Us
The World Is Square

We can't have a podcast about geek music and convention culture without getting into filk. This was supposed to be an interview with Randy and Kira from Partners In K'Rhyme but the file sounded so crappy we scrapped it. Instead, Mikey and Jonah talk about the interview. It's kind of meta. Not really.

In Episode 5, Jonah Knight and Mikey Mason have it out over the pros and cons of downloading digital songs vs buying physical CD's. You might think that you've heard this before. You might think that you have contemplated the future of music. But this is musicians mulling over where their careers are headed.
